Project duration: 24 months for first phaseanalysis of data in labs; 15 days for ground observation and field investigation in selected sites of the countries in Southeast Asia Sub-region;3. He w
15、as born in July 1956. He graduated from Beijing Forest University and obtained Master Degree of Forest Management in 1986, PH D degree of Cartology and GIS at Institute of Remote Sensing Application, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2005. He has engaged in the research works on resource manageme
16、nt and monitoring using remote sensing and GIS. Major research interests are focused on information sharing, forest inventory and monitoring using remote sensing, GIS and GPS technology, forest fire monitoring, desertification monitoring and assessment, land use planning and forest management. He ha
17、s headed and implemented the following key state projects on Research of Forest and Wetland Resources Comprehensive Monitoring Techniques (2006-2010); Monitoring Techniques of Sand and Duststorms (2002-2006); Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (1999-2005); Research of Comprehensive Application on Remot
18、e Sensing; GIS and GPS Technology (1996-2000); Information System for Sustainable Development of China (1997-2000) and Study on Tropical Nature Forest Sustainable Management (ITTO 1994-2000); Study on Comprehensive Remote Sensing Inventory for Shelterbelt Forest in Northeast, North Plain and Northwe

He is working as the Task Manager of Asian Thematic Programme Network on Desertification Monitoring and Assessment (TPN1) (launched in 1999- ) of the UNCCD, and the Coordinator for UNCCD Ad Hoc Panel of benchmark and indicators on desertification (1998- ).Zhuang Huaiqing: PH.D.
20、, Prof., Chief scientist on computer simulation technology at Chinese Academy of Forestry. Most of his research interests are focusing on the fields of GIS/RS application on resource & environment monitoring, management and forest virtual reality. He has been a project leader or a participant in mor
21、e than 20 state programmes and projects, and has rich experience with CIFOR, EFI, CIRAD and other international organizations in resource and environment (forest and wetland etc.) monitoring, analysis, mapping and virtual reality. He has received a degree of Bachelor in forestry science from the Cen
22、tral South University of Forestry and Technology (China,1996), and a Ph.D. from Chinese Academy of Forestry (2001).Liu Hua: Associate professor of Chinese Academy of Forestry. She has been engaged in the research of information technology applied to Forestry since 1993. Her research activities were
23、focused on the remote sensing technology applied to monitoring and change detection of land resources, such as forest resources, wetland resources and other nature resources. She has carried out both research and development projects in these fields. Her current interest is on the information extrac
24、tion of wetland resources using remote sensing data, and the correlation between the changes of wetland resources and Climate Change. Tan Bingxiang: received her Ph.D on Forest Management from Chinese Academy of Forestry in 2006, became a Professor of Chinese Academy of Forestry from 2007. She has b
25、een involved with remote sensing research since 1990 and involved in radar remote sensing since 1997. Her research activities have been laid in the area of the remote sensing applied to nature resource, including forest resource inventory, forest mapping, change detection, environmental monitoring u
26、sing remote sensing data. She has conducted both research and technical development in application of remote sensing. Her current interest is on the quantitative extraction of forest parameters from remote sensing and on the use of remote sensing data to quantify the effect of land processes on the
27、carbon cycle. Sun Limei Graduated from Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping in 1997, major in GIS. And then works for Heilongjiang Geomatics Center .Engaged as a senior Engineer since 2006. Mainly engaged in application of GIS and RS, including application of Surveying and Mapping pro
28、duction、RS image data processing,geographic information data acquirement and update、land investigate、urban vegetation investigate、land covering classification based on RS data. At present, main research direction is data processing and thematic geographic information acquirement based on multi-sourc
29、e and multi-temporal remote sensing image data.Song Hao Graduated from Heilongjiang Institute of Technology in 2004, major in Geographic Information System. 30、uding RS image data processing, and covering classification based on RS data, geographic information data acquirement and update based on RS data, digital orthophoto map making, topographic map making or updating, ground controlling technology of unmanned aerial vehicle and many types of thematic ma
