Theunitedstatesisoneofthebiggestdevelopedcountry.ThisincreaseinglobalizationisaresultofgrouthinU.S.andforeignmultinationindustriessincethe1961s.Multinationalcorporationsincreasinglyparticipateinvarionsinternationalbusinessarrangements.TheU.S.mutinationalcorparationshaveenteredintoamanagementcontractthroughajointventuretoproduceappliances.Themultinationalcorporationprovidesproduction,technical,andmarketingmanagementforaperiodoftimeforafixedfee.
TheeconomyoftheUnitedStatesisbaseduponfeeenterprise.Privatebusinessescompeteagainstoneanotherwithrelativelylittleinterferencefromthegovernment.Sincethedepressionofthe1930s,whentheeconomyessentiallycollapsed,lawshavebeenmadegicingthegovernmentamoreactiveroleineconomicandothermatters.Businessaredirectlyorindirectlyownedandopeatedbyprivateindividualsinordertomakeaprofit.Insuchasystem,individualpeopleandcompaniesinordertomakeprofits.Thefederalgovernmentisinvolvedinthesystembyregulatingbusniessincertainways.Forinstance,itsetablishesantitrustlawstopreventonecompanyfromcontrollinganentireindustry,andlawstopreventenvironmentpollution.Incontrasttotheseprivatelyowned,forprofitbusinesses,therearepublicgovernment-ownedandoperatedinstitutionsaswellasnonprofitinstitutionssuchaschurchesandnonprofitcharitableoranizations.Theseorganizationsandinstiyutionsarenottobeconfusedwithbusiness.
Untilthesecondhalfofthelastcentury,theUnitedStateswasamainlyagriculturalnation.TheCivilWarhelpedstimulateindustry.Intheyearsthatfollowed,industrializationtransformedthecountry,althoughmanyareas,especiallytheSouth,remainedmainlyagriculturalandrural.Inthe1950sand1960s,theU.S.economygrewrapidly.ManycompaniesmocedtotheSouthandSoutjwest,andtheseareasexperiencedchangeandgrowth.Then,inthemid1970,economisgrowthbegantoslowdown.
Justastherehadbeenashiftfromagriculturetoindustry,thertwisnowashiftfromindustrytoservices,whichareprovidedbyhospitals,banks,lawfirms,hotelsandrestanrants,andsoon.Inrecentyears,mosrnewjobshavebeenservicejobs.
TodaybusinessinstitutionshavemoreprestigeinAmericansocietythananyotherkindoforganization,includingthegovernment.OnereasonisthatAmerixansviewbusinessasbingmorefirmlybasedontheidealofcompetitionthanotherinstitutionsinsociaty.Competionisnotonlygoodinitself;itisthemeansbywhichotherbasaicAmericanvaluessuchasindividualfreedom,equalityofopportunity,andhardwork.However,Americansareawearthatbusinessinstitutionoftendonotliveuptotheidearsofcompetitionandthesupportoffreedom,equlityofopportunity,andhardwork.Americanssometimesdistrustthemotivesofbusinesspeople,believingthattheyarecapableofputtingprofitbeforeproductsafety,oracleanerenvironment.There,mostAmericansbelievebusinessneedsomegovernmentregulation,althoughtheymaydisagreeonhowmuch.ThereisanotherreasonwhybusinessinstitutionsreceiverespectintheUnitedStates.OneaspectofthegreatAmericandreamistorisefrompovertytogreatweath.Thishasusuallybeenaccomplishedthroughsuccessfulbusinesscareers.Allofthegreatprivatefortunesinthenationwerebuiltbypeoplewhoweresuccessfulinbusiness,manyofthemstartedlifewithverylittle.Notonlyisbusinessseenasthebestopportunityforthea,bitiousindividualtobecomeweathy,itisalsoseenasbenefitingtheentirenation.
TheUnitedStstesisalargecountryandisrichinnaturalresources.Itisaleadingproduceroffuel;fu
Elforenergysuchascoal,petroleum,andnaturalgas;richsoilforagriculture;waterforagriculture;forestswhichprovidewoodforbuildingandpaper;freshwaterandoceanfish.Itisaleadingproducerofmanyotherminerals.TheUnitedStstesgrowswheat,corn,andothercropsandraisesmanycowsandchickens.Manufacturingisthemostimportantecinomicactivityinthecountry.Theleadingproductsare;non-electricmachinery,transportationequipment,mentproducts,printedmaterials,paper,rubberandplasticproducts.
Amercianeconomyisveryimportantinglobalmarletplace.Americanbusinesshasbecomeapartosamuchlargerglobaleconomy.TheUnitedStatesisoneofthelargestmarketsintheworld;aconsumersocietylookingforgoodsfromallovertheworld.Majorimportsincludemachineyandtele-communicationsequipment,oilcars,metal,andchemicals.Notsuprisingly,internationsltradeisimportanttotheU.S.majoresportsincludemachineryandhigh-technologyequipment,chemical,cars,aircrafe,andgrains.Muchattentionisbeinggiventocompetingsuccessfullyintheglobalmarketof21stcentury.
However,UnitedStatescan’tcomperewittheabudantsupplyofcheaplaborthatexitsinthecountriesofthethePacificandLatinAmerica;therefore,manycompaniesintheUnitedStatesaremovingtheirmanufacturingoperationstoAsiaorLatinAmerican.Inthe1990stheNorthAmericanFreeTradeAgreementtreatyjoinedCanada,theUnitedStates,andMexicaoastradingpartnersandcraetednewopportunitiesandnewmarkets.Theautoindustryhasrevivedandisflourishing.Oldgiranitcorporationslaidoffthousandsofworkers,downsizingtobecomemoreeffecientandcompetitive.Americanbusinessnowunderstandthatmustbehighlyefficientifitiscompetesuccessfullyintheglobalmarketplace.
Today,theU.S.,facessomemajoreconomicchallenges.Oneimportantchallengeisincreasingitsproductivity,theefficiencyofthelaborforcesinorderincreastherateofeconomicgrowth.Anotherchallenge,asthecountryshiftsfrommanufacturingtoservices,istrainpeopletofillnewkindsofjob.
IntheUnitedStates,themanagerisaculturalhero.thearesomeessentialbusinessprotocolintheUnitedStates.TheUnitedStatesofAmerica,isnowtheonlysuperpowerintheworld,botheconomicallyandmilitarily.Today,theAmericaneconomicsituationisnotparticularlygood,comparedtothepreviousheyday,theperiodslightlytired.Today,theUnitedStatesofAmerica,theproblemofhighunemploymentratehasgreatinfluenceontherecoveryofAmericaneconomy.Ingeneral,theUnitedStateseconomyisrelativelystable,believethattheUnitedStatesofAmerica'seconomicstimulusplanwillmaketheUnitedStateseconomymorestable,moreenergetic,stillmaintainastrongmomentum,maintaineconomicdominance.
Asthesayinggoes,starvethancamels,westillbelievethattheUnitedStatesofAmerica,economicstability,theUnitedStatesofAmericaeconomicdominanceisstillunabletoshake.TheUnitedStateshasaverydevelopedmarketeconomy,currentsituationoftheUnitedStateseconomyisstilltheworld'slargesteconomicpower.Americanindustryisverydeveloped,theMidwestistheUnitedStatesofAmerica'sheavyindustryandmanufacturingcenter,andDetroitAutoCity,cityofPittsburghsteelandsoonalsoshowstheeasternindustrialdeveloped,whilethewesternnewindustries,suchasaerospace,aircraftmanufacturingandsoon,sothattheUnitedStatesofAmericaIndustryhasbeendevelopingconstantly,whichiswhytheUnitedStatesofAmericatodayisstillwhytheindustrialeconomicsupremacy.Inaddition,theUnitedStatesofAmerica'sforeigneconomyandtradeisverypowerful,andadjacenttotheUnitedStates,Canada,Japan,ChinaandAsia,havethousandsofproductsabroadeveryday,suchasindustrialproducts,automobile,aircraft,electronicproductsandsoon,tradeisverylarge.Americaremainstheworld'slargesteconomyandisthemostimportant,weadmittedly.
TheUnitedStatesofAmericaserviceindustryisverydeveloped,notonlyistheadvancedfacilities,butalsobecauseofthenumberofjobsintheservicesector,thethreefourthsoflaborforceengagedintheserviceindustry.TheUnitedStatesofAmericatourismaccountedforthirdoftheworld,andthroughtheintegrationofvariousservices,formedacompletesetofservicemechanism.ThisalsomakestheUnitedStatesthroughtheservicestoearnalotofforeignexchange.BecausetheUnitedStatesgeographicalconditionssuperiority,makestheUnitedStatesthehighlydevelopedagriculture.Therefore,theUnitedStatesofAmericaistheworld'smostpopulouscountryexportsofagriculturalproducts,oneofthesourcesofthemoststable.Mineralresourcesarealsoveryrich,cansay,theUnitedStateseconomyshouldhavethedevelopmentofanyconditions.Ofcourse,theUnitedStatesofAmericaistheworldfinancialcenter.TheWallStreetinNewYork,astreetfluctuationscanaffecttheworld,enoughtoseetheUnitedStateseconomyaccountsforthecomponentintheworldeconomy.TheAmericaneconomyishighlydeveloped,manycountriesaroundtheworldarelinkedtothedollar,therefore,alsomakesthedollarisrelativelystable,theUnitedStatesofAmericasecuritiesmarketisabarometeroftheworldeconomicsituation.
Perhaps,today'sdominantsuperpowersurface,only,theAmericaneconomyisfacedwithmanyproblems,suchasunemployment,medicalandothersocialwelfareisnotperfect,butwestillbelieve,nowingovernmentpolicy,theUnitedStatesofAmerica'seconomywillcontinuetomaintainrapiddevelopment,economicstatusisstilldominant.TheUnitedStatesistypicalofhighlydevelopedcommodityeconomy;isalsotypicaloftheprivatemonopolycapitalismhighlydeveloped;thetypicalandthedevelopmentofnationalmonopolycapitalism.Itcanbesaidthat,asacapitalistindustrializedcountries,theUnitedStatesiscoming,asamoderncapitalistmonopolyorganizationofthecountry,theUnitedState
