AnothertypeofsmogoccursinLosAngeles.Heretheweathermaybeclearandsunny.Butstingingeyesanddrycoughsshowthatharmfulchemicalsfilltheair.Thesmogisduetoinvisiblegases,mostlyfromautomobileexhaust.Becausethesechemicalsarechangedbythesunhighupintheair,itiscalledphotochemicalsmog.Itcontainsautomobileexhaustfumesandnitrogenoxideschangedbythesun'srays.Addedtothesearesulfurdioxideandotherfumesfromfactoriesandoilrefineries.Photochemicalsmogisfoundinmanylargecitiesallovertheworld.
