Thenewfacesinthecollegeareusually30yearsoldorolder,andarereturningtoschoolafterseveralyearsaway.Theyarestartingtheircollegeeducation,afterraisingafamilyandarenowreadytodosomethingforthemselvees.Theirlivesareconsiderablydifferentfromtheiryoungerclassmates.Theyhavebeenontheirownforawhile,andareconcernedaboutfamily,responsibilities,work,andtheadjustmentofbeingbackinschoolaftersomeyears.Mostimportantothemarethehopesofanewcareerorajobpromotionaftertheygraduate.
Thoughtheymaycometocollegefordifferentreasons,theresuletisthesame.Itistheirchancetomakeabetterlifeforthemselvesortheirfamilies.Astheyoungergenerationislookingforfreedomintheirlives,thosewhoarereturningtoschoolalsoseefreedom.Thesameopportunitieswerenotavailable20yearsago.
