1DistributionofpolysaccharidesinYangyinChineseMedicine
InthetraditionalChinesemedicinehastheeffectofNourishingYin,thereareabout80%containingpolysaccharidesorglycoconjugatescomponents,someofwhichhaveveryhighcontentofcarbohydratecomponents.SuchastraditionalChinesemedicineAdenophorapolysaccharidecontentishigh,somevarietiesofsugarismorethan50%;thepolysaccharidecontentashighas45.98%,andthecontentofPolysaccharidefromphysiologicalactivityisrelatedtothestrength.ThecontentofcarbohydrateinOphiopogonjaponicusis71%,andthatinlilyis52.6%.ThecontentofHuangJingzhongpolysaccharidecanreflectthequalityofPolygonatumsibiricumtoacertainextent.PolysaccharidesarethemainactivecomponentsofDendrobiumwhichhavetheeffectsofenhancingimmunityandanti-tumor.Wheretoreachthetraditionalstandard;heavy,stickychewingteeth,sweet,noresidueisexcellent,thepolysaccharidecontentwashigherthan30%.Themucuscontainedinyamisthemostimportantcomponentofitspharmacologicalaction.Itiscomposedofacomplexofpolysaccharidesandproteins.Thepharmacologicalactionofdonkeyhidegelatinisrelatedtoitscontentsofsulfateskin(DS)oraminoacidsandmetalelements.
2themainpharmacologicalactionsandmechanismsofYangyinpolysaccharides

2.2immunomodulatoryeffect,themechanismoftheimmunemechanismofLBPisclear.Lyciumbarbarumpolysaccharides(LBP)significantlyincreasedmacrophagemouseperitonealrestingNOinducedintracellularSOD,andlysozymeactivity,obviouslypromoteindifferentstatesofmacrophages,hasbidirectionalregulationeffect,thiseffectmaybeaffectedbythecAMP/cGMPsystemandpromotePKCactivitytoplay2.LBPisahydrophilicsubstancethatisdifficulttopassthroughthecellmembrane.Itmayfirstactasabindingsiteorreceptoronthesurfaceofatargetcell,therebyactingthroughatransmembranesignaltransductionsystem.LBPisadirectroleintheimmunesystem,promoteimmuneresponse,ontheotherhandmaybeactingonthehypothalamus,throughneuralpathwaysontheimmunesystem,soastoexertontheoverallimmunefunctionregulation3.Ophiopogonjaponicuspolysaccharideonvariousaspectsofimmunewerepromoted,andresistthedecreaseofwhitebloodcells,antiradiationactivity,theroleoftraditionalandmodernmedicineandOphiopogonjaponicus,whichcanbeusedtoexplainOphiopogonjaponicuspolysaccharideisoneoftheeffectivecomponentsinOphiopogonjaponicus.PolysaccharidesofChangiumcanreduceLPSinducedNFkappaBbindingactivity,whichmayenhanceimmunemechanismandthelymphocytemembraneCD35activityofpolysaccharidesofChangiumsmyrnioidesisthemaincomponentofthe4tonic.Radixrehmanniaepolysaccharidescanantagonizeperipheralbloodandmarrownucleatedcellsinmicewithdifferentblooddeficiencymodels,andcanpromotetheproliferationanddifferentiationofhematopoieticstemcellsinmice(5).PolygonatumPolysaccharidecanenhancetheredbloodcellimmunefunctioninchildrenwithasthma,whichisoneofthemechanismstopreventtherecurrenceofasthma.Thismayberelatedtothepresenceofpolysaccharidereceptorsontheerythrocytemembrane,which,incombinationwiththereceptor,causeserythrocytemembraneallostericandC3breceptorclusterdistribution,thusenhancingactivity[6].
2.3anti-tumoreffect,theantitumoractivityofYangyindrugsmainlythroughimprovingtheimmunityofthebody,orthroughtheinductionofimmuneorganstoproducetumorkillingimmunecellsandanti-tumoreffect.DendrobiumpolysaccharidescanbecombinedwithrlL2,significantlyenhancetheumbilicalcordbloodLAKcells(CBK)inpatientswithmalignanttumorandperipheralbloodLAKcells(PBLAK)incytotoxicitytotumorcellsinvitroandcanbeusedasbiologicalresponsemodifiersforthetreatmentoftumor.Lyciumbarbarumpolysaccharidescaninhibitthemetabolismofleukemiacellsinmice,andprovidereliableinformationfortheapplicationofLyciumbarbaruminthepreventionandtreatmentofcancer.[7].XingDongweietal.[8]isolated4kindsofPolysaccharidesfromtheeffectivepartsofthetuberofasparagus,whichcouldinhibittheproliferationoftumorcellsinvivoorinvitroandprolongthesurvivaltimeoftumorbearinganimals.TurtleshellpolysaccharidecansignificantlyinhibitS180tumorgrowth,
Themechanismofactionmayberelatedtoenhancingtheimmunefunctionoftumorbearingmice[9].
2.4,reducingbloodsugarandreducingbloodfat,YiqiYangyinmedicinecanreducethelipidperoxidationandreducebloodsugarindiabeticrats.Lyciumbarbarumpolysaccharidehypoglycemiceffectmaybethroughthereductionofnitricoxideinisletbetacell(NO)productionandmaintenanceofsuperoxidedismutase(SOD)andtheactivityofglucokinase,finallytomaintainthesynthesisofinsulinandthereleaseofthe10functions.Lilypolysacchariderepairbetaisletcells,increaseinsulinsecretionandreducethesecretionofadrenalhormones,andpromoteliverglucoseintoglycogen,hasobviouscurativeeffectondiabetesanditshypoglycemiceffectandconcentrationwerepositivelyrelatedto11.Thetherapeuticeffectofyampolysaccharideondiabetesisrelatedtotheincreaseofinsulinsecretionandtheimprovementofbetacellfunctionofdamagedpancreaticislets.Itcanalsoreducethelipidconcentrationofexperimentalanimalsandthesugarconcentrationofaortaandheart[12].PolysaccharidesfromOphiopogonjaponicusmayantagonizetheriseofbloodsugarcausedbyadrenaline.Itmayberelatedtotheinhibitionofglycogendecomposition.Italsohastheeffectofstabilizingbloodsugarandreducingtheinsulinresistanceinsurroundingtissues[13].PolygonatumPolysaccharidecanreducetheabnormalbloodglucoselevel,notwiththedoseincreased,thedoseis500ng/kgthemostobvioushypoglycemiceffect,itshypoglycemicmechanismmayreducethecontentofcAMPincytoplasm,activationofphosphorylaseandglycogensynthasepreventsinactivation,resultinginacceleratedglycogensynthesisandglycogendecompositionslowsdown,soit'sindropofbloodglucoseandinsulinlevelsdidnotchangein14.PolygonatumpolysaccharidesalsoinhibitedtheexpressionofreceptormRNA(RAGEmRNA),areceptorforadvancedglycationendproducts(AGE)inthebrainofageddiabeticrats,andprotectedthebraintissueinjurycausedbyhyperglycemiaandadvancedglycationendproducts(15).
