ThispaperisabouttheleadershipanalysisofMathebeginningofthepaper,ittalksaboutthebackgroundofMaYun,hispioneeringwork,thegrowthofAlibabaandMaYun’slatestsituation.Then,itwouldintroducehisleadershipbehaviors.Therearetwomainbehaviorswhichareobviousonhim.Itcontainssupportiveleadershipbehaviorandcharismaticleadershipbehavior.Accordingtohisleadershiptraitsandbehaviors,Ievaluatetheeffectivenessifhisleadershipappliestothehospitalityindustry.TheconclusionaboutwhatIlearnedduringtheprocessofresearchingwillbepresentedattheendingofthepaper.

ThereasonwhyIchooseMaYunasmyleaderissimple.Ireadan article talkingabouthimona magazineinhighschool.AtthattimeIwasinterestedincommerce.UntilnowIstillhaveastronginterestinelectroniccommerce,andopentheTaobaoshopandmicroshopwhenIwasasophomore.Duringthisprocess,Ialsorealizedtheimportanceofbusinessopportunities,supplychannelsandinnovation. I am deeply impressed byhisbusinessacumenandpersonalcharisma.
MaYun isaChineseentrepreneurandphilanthropistandalsoisthefounderandChiefExecutiveOfficerof .HeisthefirstChineseentrepreneurthathaseverappearedonthecoverof frommainland.InAmericafinancialmagazine“Fortune”publishedin2014March,hewashonoredbyoneofthe“50greatestleadersaroundtheworld”.Inaddition,MaalsoservesasChairmanoftheBoardofDirectorsofYahooChina.OnMay10in2013,MaretiredfromAlibabaGroupasCEO.OnSeptember23,2014,MaYunbecametherichestoneinChinabythefortunewith$150million,whosewealthhadbeenincreasedby5timescomparedwiththatinwasrankedfirstin2014ForbesChinaRichListandHurunPhilanthropyList.(Bai,2014)

In1964,MaYunwasborninanordinaryfamilyinHangzhou.Whenhewasachild,hedoesnotlikestudy,andalsoisaskipclassstudentintheeyesoftheteacher.HistransformationisstartedwhenheenteringHangzhouNormalUniversitywithEnglishmajor.Fromthattimeon,hedesperatelylearnedEnglish.Becausehewantstoknowwhatthingshedoesn'tknowintheothersideoftheocean.
