Careeristhesourceofone’sincomeaswellasawaytorealizehisorherpersonalvalue.Somepeoplefocusononethingfortheirentirelifewhileotherstrydifferentnewjobsallthetime.Thisphenomenontriggersaheateddiscussionaboutwhetheryoungpeopleshouldtryvariousjobsbeforetheydeterminetheirlifelongcareers.Personallyspeaking,experiencingdifferentjobscanhelponedecideabouthisorherlifelongcareer.Herearesomereasonstosupportmyviewasfollows.
Firstly,intryingdifferentjobs,youngpeoplecanfindsomethingreallyappealingtothem.Inotherwords,tryingdifferentjobsletthemfindtheonewhichismostsuitablefortheirpersonalityandambition.Bycontrast,iftheygetajobaftertheygraduatewithoutthinkingaboutchangingit,theymaymissthechancetoencounterabetterjobopportunity.Takingmybrotherasanexample,afterhesteppedintosociety,hejob-hoppedfrequently.WhenIaskedhimwhyhechangedsomanyjobs,herespondedthatallthosejobswerenotwhathereallywanted.Finally,hehasfoundasatisfyingjobwhichheenjoysverymuch.
Furthermore,changingjobswillincreasepeople’ssocialconnections.Atpresent,friendsareakindofsignificantresourceforpeoplelivinginthismodernsociety,becauseinmanycases,peoplealwaysneedtoseekhelpfromtheirfriends.Afriendofmine,Tom,isagoodcaseinpoint.Hewasonceateacher,agovernmentemployee,andrightnowheisengagedininternationaltrading.Vastworkingexperiencesenablehimtoknowpeopleindifferentfields.Recently,mycousiniscarvingoutabusiness,butlacksinitialfunds.WhenIresortedtoTom,hequicklyhelpedmycousingettheloanwithacoupleofphonecalls.
Admittedly,changingjobsalsohassomebadinfluences,whichmayindicateyouarenotverystableorreliable.Bycontrast,thosewhoonlydoonejobtendtobeconsidereddependable,andemployerstendtofavorandspeakhighlyofthem,becauseoftheirloyaltyandconcentration.However,ifonedoesn’tfindajobthatheorshewantsmost,heorshewillfeelunsatisfiedandregretfuldeepinside.Althoughchangingjobsmayhavesomedownsides,thisconductcanleadpeopletofindjobstheyreallylove.Onlyinthiswaywilltheyacquireaperfectlifewithoutregrets.

Traditionallyspeaking,adultsshouldplayadominantroleinsociety.Basedonthisconsensus,themajorityofpeopledonotbelievethatteenagerscanexertanyinfluenceontheimportantdecisionsthatdeterminethefutureofsocietyasawhole.ButthewayIseeit,teenagersareundoubtedlyaffectingthedecision-makingforthewholesocietyintheirownways.Myviewpointcanbewellillustratedthroughthefollowingreasonsandexamples.
Thegovernment’ssupportofonlinebusinessisthefirsttestimony.TherecentyearshaveseenaboominonlinebusinessinChina,whichcanbeattributedtoalargeextenttothechangeofteenagers’shoppinghabits.Comparedwiththeirelders,teenagersaremorereadytopurchaseonlineandwaitthegoodstobedeliveredtotheirhomes.TakingTaobao,thebiggestonlinemarketinChina,forexample,morethanhalfofitsrevenueiscreatedbyteenagers.Someofthemshoplikecrazyonline,whileothersstartuptheirownonlineshops.
Thesecondevidencecomesfromsomeregulationsmadebythegovernmentundertheinfluenceofsocialcampaignsconductedbytheyouthorganization.Withthedeepeningofreformandopening-uppolicy,teenagersinChinaarebecomingincreasinglyconcernedwiththefateoftheircountry.Someyouthorganizationsinitiatevaluablesocialactivitiesaimingtoprovokethepublicawarenessofsocialwell-being.Someofimportantactivitiesgainmomentumbigenoughtoaffectthepolicy-makers.Inmycommunity,acoupleoflocalhighschoolstudentsstartedacampaigncalled“nocigarettebutts”,whichquicklycaughttheattentionofthegovernment.Asaresponse,aregulationwassoonpassedagainstthebehavioroflitteringcigarettebutts.
Ontheotherhand,subjecttothetenderage,teenagers’opinionstendtobeimprudentorradical,whicharehardlytakenintoconsiderationbydecision-makers.However,thestatementthattheyhavenoinfluenceonthedecisionswithregardtothefutureofsocietyisunilateralandarbitrary.Manyevidencestodayhaveshownthattheteenagersareindeedinfluencingimportantdecisionsintheirownway.

Educationhasbeenanever-fadingtopicinsociety.Withremarkablesocialprogress,peoplehasattachedgreatimportancetopreschooleducation.Recently,aheateddebatehasarisenaboutwhethergovernmentshouldmakeitpossibletocancelthecostofpreschoolforallchildreninthecountry.Inmyopinion,thissuggestionisreallyworthconsidering,andIamgoingtolistmyreasonsinthefollowingparagraphs.
Inthefirstplace,cancelingthecostofpreschoolcanmakeearlyeducationaccessibletoagreaternumberofpeople.Asweknow,thereiscurrentlyaseriousfinancialdisparityinsociety,whichmeansaquitebignumberofsocialmembersarestrugglingatthebottom.Theyhavedifficultyfeedingtheirfamilies,letalonegivingtheiryoungkidsdecenteducation.Ifleftuneducated,thesepoorkidswillloseanopportunitytobecomeusefultalentswhocanmakecontributionstosociety.Ifgovernmentmakepreschooleducationfreeofchargeforthosefinancially-challengedfamilies,theirkidswillreceivegoodeducationatanearlystage,andthenstandafairchancetochangetheirfate.
Secondly,cancelingthecostofpreschooleducationcouldbeagoodwaytoboosteconomyandcreatejobopportunities.Ifthecostiscanceled,aheavydemandforpreschooleducationwillbecreated.Asaresult,alargenumberofpreschoolsareexpectedtobebuilt,andagreatmanyteacherswillbeneededtoofferservicetopreschoolkids.Thiswaycanserveasanimpetustothecurrentsluggisheconomy.Plus,agreatnumberofpeoplewillfindnewjobsinnewly-builtschools,whichmayhelprelievethehighunemploymentrateinthepresentday.
Admittedly,Iamnotdenyingthedisadvantagesofmakingpreschooleducationfreeofcharge.Forinstance,thegovernmentwillfaceaheavyfinancialburdenandmaylevyhighertaxonotherfields.However,theissueofeducationconcernsalmostallfamiliesinsociety,anditshouldbegiventhetoppriority,becausekidsarethefutureofthecountry.Ifthegovernmentmanagestoinformthepublicoftheintentionofthisconduct,therewillbenothingtoworryabout.
Inconclusion,Ithinkitiswiseforthegovernmenttomakepreschoolatnocostforchildren’sfamilies.Itisnotonlybecausethispolicywillleteverykidinsocietyenjoytheopportunitytoreceiveeducationequally,butalsoitisconducivetorestoringtheeconomyanddecreasingunemploymentrate.
