thebookismainlytotellthefourcouples’marriagesineighteenthcentury.oneofthemostimportantisnaturallyoccurredbetweenactresselizabethbennetandactorfitzwilliamdarcyabouttheirhateandlove.elizabethisacourageous,beautiful,smart,sturdyandlovablemiddle-classwomanwhopursuestrueloveignoringmoneyandpower.thestorydevelopsmainlyreliesonelizabethanddarcy,fromthebeginningofaversiontorespectthenlove.also,alternatesinstorieshappenaroundelizabeth’shappyorunhappymarriagestorevealtheauthor’shopelivingintrueloveatthatera.theheroineelizabethfirstsawthemaleprotagonistdarcyisnotpleasingtohereyes,plusdarcy’spridecharactercauseselizabethtohaveprejudiceagainsthim.darcyisunpopulararrogantman,eveninthesurroundingfilledupcoldrelationship.forhim,pridemayberational,however;
prejudicemaybeheartless,bothofwhichimpactisunavoidable.betweentwopeoplethereareoftenquarriesandmisunderstandingsconcerningdarcy’sprideandelizabeth’sprejudiceatthestart.butaftertheeventsofclarification,theydevelopalittleaffectiongradually.darcyrepresentsthe“pride”,elizabethrepresents“prejudice”.atfirst,theyareallcontrolledbytheirbademotions------“prideandprejudice”.thenaseriesofunfavorablerumorstodarcymakeelizabethhaveastrongerobjectiontohim.whendarcyproposestoelizabethbutisrejected,hesays:
