WhenthenewgenerationofelectronicproductssuchasiPadandiPhonewereintroducedtothemarket,almosteveryonerushedtobuy.TheseactionsundoubtedlyshowsthatbehaviorsofGenYshavealreadybeenmodernized.
WhenGenYsshowtheirmodernbehaviors,somepeoplebelievethattheyhavealreadyforgottentheChinesetraditionalvalueswhichhavebeenspreadthousandsofyears.Therefore,inthissection,Isetupfourtopicsinthequestionnaire.
Whenaskedwhattheyvaluemost,morethanhalfoftherespondentsselectedfamily,andrestselectedfriendsandbusiness.
Today’sGenYsmostlysteppedintotheworkplace,theyhavetheirowncommunitiesandowngoals.Theyareindependent,theyhavepassion,andtheyeagertolivetheirownlife.However,whenaskedagainwhatdesiremakeyouhappy,50%oftherespondentssaidthattheywanttoprovideacomfortablelifefortheirparents,while35%and15%ofrespondentschoserespectivelymoney,powerandsuccessfulcareer.Throughthetwosurveyresults,wecanseethatGenYsstillhaveverytraditionalandstrongfamilyvalues.Intheirviews,nomatterwheretheyadriftinandnomatterwhatkindofdifficultiestheyarefacingwith,theirfriendsandfamilieswillsilentlyblessandsupportthem,andtheyalsothinktheyareresponsiblefortheirfamiliesandfriends.
AsChineseyounggeneration,GenYsarethebackboneofthelaborforce.Theyfightfortheirdreamsintheworkplace,whichmakesthemrealizetheirselfvalues,andalsoshowstheirpositivesideofdiligence,perseveranceandawishofhavingachievements.Inthissection,therearetwotopicsaboutGenYs’expectationsofcareer.Whenaskedaboutwhethertheywillbedevotedalltheirlifetothebusiness,54.2%oftherespondentsthoughtthattheydefinitelywillbe,becauseit’stheirwholelife’sdream;

Inadditiontofamilyvaluesandambition,GenYshavestrongcollectiveconsciousnessandthecouragetosacrificethemselvesforcollective.Whenaskedaboutwhichonetheywouldselectwhentheirowninterestsandcollectiveinterestsconflictwitheachother,theanswersoftherespondentsareshowedbelow.

InordertoinvestigatewhatGenYsthinkaboutauthority,Idesignedtwoopenquestions,what’syourviewaboutauthorityandwhatmanagementmodedoyouwantyourcompanytocarryout.Accordingtoinvestigation,GenYssaidtheyhateexertionofauthority,theydaretodoubtauthority,butcompletiveremuneration.Theyhopetheycangetrespectandaccept,morespaceoffreedomandautonomy,whichcanpromotetheirenthusiasm,participationandsenseofresponsibility.
