theSARSepidemictoquicklyexpandacrosstheglobe,otheraspects,suchasimprovedcommunicationtechnologyandimprovedmedicalresearchtechniques,allowedhealthexpertstheworldovertoshareknowledgeandworktogethertostopthevirusinitstracks.
CInthe1330's,thebubonicplaguereturned,thistimeinAsia.Itwouldspreadrapidlyandcometobeknownas“TheBlackDeath”.TheconditionsinmuchofAsiaandEurope—war,climatechange,alackofadequatefood,crowdedcitiesandalackofbasichealthroutines---providedtheperfectconditionsforthediseasetospreadworldwide.
DOverninemonths,thenumberofglobalcasespassed8,000and774peopledied.AlthoughthesenumbersaremuchsmallerthanthenumberforotherdiseasessuchasTBorflu,whichkillmillionseveryyear,theoutbreakwasstillveryalarmingforafewkeyreasons.
F.Epidemicsaredescribedinhistoricalaccountsasearlyas430BCandoneoftheearliestonrecordisJustinian'sPlague.Ithappenedabout
500-550ADasRomanEmperorJustinianwasattemptingtorebuildandacquiremorelandfortheRomanEmpire.ItsweptthroughNorthAfrica,
