C.Theoilisfedintothebearingsandgearsandinjectedinlargevolumesintothecompressedspaceinfinedropletform,afterwhichtheoil/airmixtureisdischargedandpassedintoaseparatorbeforebeingre-circulated.Assuch,compressoroilsmusthaveveryhighoxidationstability,goodairreleaseandlowfoamingtendency.Thecontaminationwithengineoils,widelyusedinreciprocatingcompressors,willalsocauseproblemsofemulsification,poorfilterabilityandairreleaseinthepresenceofmoisture.
