通过本章学习,了解文艺复兴运动和人文主义思潮产生的历史,文化背景,认识该时期文学创作的基本特征和基本主张,及其对同时代及后世英国文学乃至文化的影响;了解该时期重要作家的文学生涯,创作思想,艺术特色及其代表作品的主题结构,人物刻画,语言风格,思想意义等;同时结合注释,读懂所选作品,了解其思想内容和写作特色,培养理解和欣赏文学作品的能力。

1.TheRenaissance:
TheRenaissancemarksatransitionfromthemedievaltothemodernworld.Generally,itreferstotheperiodbetweenthe14th&17thcenturies.ItfirststartedinItaly,withthefloweringofpainting,sculpture&literature.FromItalythemovementwenttoembracetherestofEurope.TheRenaissance,whichmeans"rebirth"or"revival,"isactuallyamovementstimulatedbyaseriesofhistoricalevents,suchasthere-discoveryofancientRoman&Greekculture,thenewdiscoveriesingeography&astrology,thereligiousreformation&theeconomicexpansion.TheRenaissance,therefore,inessenceisahistoricalperiodinwhichtheEuropeanhumanistthinkers&scholarsmadeattemptstogetridofthoseoldfeudalistideasinmedievalEurope,tointroducenewideasthatexpressedtheinterestsoftherisingbourgeoisie,&torecoverthepurityoftheearlychurchfromthecorruptionoftheRomanCatholicChurch.
2.Humanism:
HumanismistheessenceoftheRenaissance.ItsprangfromtheendeavortorestoreamedievalreverencefortheancientauthorsandisfrequentlytakenasthebeginningoftheRenaissanceonitsconscious,intellectualside,fortheGreekandRomancivilizationwasbasedonsuchaconceptionthatmanisthemeasureofallthings.Throughthenewlearning,humanistsnotonlysawtheartsofsplendorandenlightenment,butthehumanvaluesrepresentedintheworks.Renaissancehumanistsfoundintheclassicsajustificationtoexalthumannatureandcametoseethathumanbeingsweregloriouscreaturescapableofindividualdevelopmentinthedirectionofperfections,andthattheworldtheyinhabitedwastheirsnottodespisebuttoquestion,explore,andenjoy.Thus,byemphasizingthedignityofhumanbeingsandtheimportanceofthepresentlife,theyvoicedtheirbeliefsthatmandidnotonlyhavetherighttoenjoythebeautyofthislife,buthadtheabilitytoperfecthimselfandtoperformwonders.ThomasMore,ChristopherMarloweandWilliamShakespearearethebestrepresentativesoftheEnglishhumanists.

SpenserianstanzawasinventedbyEdmundSpenser.Itisastanzaofninelines,withthefirsteightlinesiniambicpentameter&thelastlineiniambichexameter,rhymingababbcbcc.
4.Metaphysicalpoetry:
Theterm"metaphysicalpoetry"iscommonlyusedtonametheworkofthe17thcenturywriterswhowroteundertheinfluenceofJohnDonne.Witharebelliousspirit,themetaphysicalpoetstriedtobreakawayfromtheconventionalfashionoftheElizabethanlovepoetry.ThedictionissimpleascomparedwiththatoftheElizabethanortheNeoclassicperiods,andechoesthewordsandcadencesofcommonspeech.Theimageryisdrawnfromtheactuallife.Theformisfrequentlythatofanargumentwiththepoet'sbeloved,withGod,orwithhimself.
5.TheRenaissance对不起,我这个心直口快的人是内向的。
但我不能像那谁一样把所有的苦痛都一个人闷在心里,还外表假装淡定快乐。
但至少有一点相同:
都喜欢在三更半夜把无法说的话写下来自己看,跟自己交流,无需任何掩饰-题记篮楼下是球场上昨晚大雨的留下的一汪汪汪水,映射着教室的柔光,我眼神有点迷离。
早早的下了自习,坐在阳台上乘凉,发起了呆。
这几天瞎忙的透不过气来,又不知道再忙着什么!
我在忙着考研,考前复习?
可是我怎么又每天拿出那么多时间来看小说,看圣经,要说我闲,那为什么天天不得安宁,考完就7月20了,还有外语考试,还有要补的一个周的课。
忙完估计也要等到八月初才可以离开这个让我无限疲惫的地方了吧。
如今天气已经实在热的坐不下去,一去教室感觉刚换的衣服浸着汗黏黏呼呼的难受。
我不知道当初大一补课自己是怎么度过的,至少现在心里没谱。
隔三差五的暴雨让少雨的泰安显的多情了些许,依然难掩其蒸笼般的鬼天气的现实。
唯一感到宽慰的是为期两年的课程即将结束。
其实我并不是期盼暑假,好像我不是小孩了,心里充盈满矛盾,反正再没有也不能有那份心情了,就如同这几年星期六还得上课一样,没有了周末的概念。
最近几次的梦竟然都是我十来岁和哥哥一起在河畔钓鱼捉虾的情景,那时候我多么开心啊,我的童年不会比其他任何人缺少乐趣!
可现在呢?
身边花样年华的人儿熙熙攘攘总会让我感到孤寂无所适从。
想想这几年也和他们一样肆意的哭过笑过闹过,似乎能说服自己不是那么缺少同龄人的特征,可为何自己在体味孤单的苦涩后依然选择让自己继续远离热闹,背地里独自感伤。
亦或许我看的也只是表象:
他们是一群人的寂寞,我是一个人的孤单。
仅仅数量上的差别而已。
是谁夺走了我曾经的那份笑容?
或许越长大越孤单吧。
心情好我对我来说才是放假,心情糟糕点,便会陷入无穷无尽的哀愁中。
选择去打球,出身汗,累的躺下就睡,醒来依旧困扰自己。
难道那些心思细腻的人,越易对外界轻微的变化敏感。
虽对生活有更深入的思考,却越会感到世人皆醉我独醒的无奈。
如果是这样,我情愿让自己的神经迟钝些,我想像像他们那般痛苦后,醒来忘的一干二净的潇洒。
只是想在身心俱疲的日子里尽早求得心里宽松与宁静都不得。
心弦绷的久了才想起要摆脱此刻的境遇,却只是无能为力的挣扎。
大学生活如今过的这样索然无味我只能苦笑。
无缘无故的自怜起来,去年夏季伊始我就开始思考起我到底在追求着什么,活着的意义的问题,也痛弃之前所谓的追求。
蜗角虚名,蝇头微利早已看淡;埋头苦读,功成名就,衣锦还乡也不再是我的最大梦想,连一小部分都占据不到,虚幻的浪漫剧情也不再敢奢望真是发生在我身上。
我为什么活着呢?
为了爱情,为了知识,为了对人类苦难不可抑制的同情心?
罗素的伟大我确实瞻仰而不能望其项背!
如果实在是要找理由,那我告诉你一我还有所期待……但我也似乎不允许自己被无限边缘化而堕落颓废,随波逐流,心里被谁呼唤着:
农村的孩子不能这样,不能!
时常也会很疲倦,只有坚持不下去时候我会一个人去一个陌生安静的地方呆上半天,偶尔的也会拉着朋友去无比熟悉的地方采采风。
我一直觉得自己是不善言辞的,更无法把握与人相处的度,甚至辨不清友情爱情的界限,半年前刚逝去的青春也是如此所致。
不熟悉的人极少坦露自己的心思,熟悉的人,甚至父母也不会说。
可是我却会和你说,而且是无所不诉,可能是因为适合倾诉的对象太有限,也可能是要讲的苦涩太多。
于是好不容易有个人能听我讲,我便……没有任何顾虑,也一点都不矜持,甚至在讲的气愤时候也对你说出认为无碍友情的伤人的话!
大多数人是不愿听另一个人无关痛痒的自怨自艾,烦愁怨愤的,很明显,譬如昨晚,你也是这样的。
关于这一点,我好多次自责过,也埋怨过你,可最终还是会归结于自己,然后难受几天再慢慢恢复以往。
我是谁,凭什么你有义务理解我?
凭什么总是迁就我?
凭什么你要接受我感染给你的低落?
我想我是你,我也会忍受不了的。
再牢固的友情都不能经受这般委屈吧!
所以上次说过我再也不会那样怪脾气了永远成立,所有的错都在我!
不畏人之不知己,畏不知人也,这一点对我来说做起来虽然艰难我也奉为至理。
我给人的感觉应该是口不择言的吧,我喜欢实话实说,从不顾忌听的人与我什么关系,有什么身份,有心的,无意的,每每得罪不少人,又不愿认错。
因为会觉得自己随心说出的都不是惘语,更因为不想解释。
时常会这么安慰自己,这叫直率,这是可贵的一面!
呵,自己欺骗自己还能多久?
跟我越是亲近的人,竟然总是会对他们越残忍,越是觉得所得是理所当然。
这句话应该很适合我。
今晚想到哪里就胡乱写到哪,姑且我也称之为”意识流”。
困了,容我暂且入梦安歇!
