No.35NorthGreatGeorge’sStreetwasbuiltin1784anddecoratedwithfineplasterwork(灰泥)byMichaelStapleton.Thehousewasrestoredinthe1980sandopenedastheJamesJoyceCenterin1996,runbymembersofJoyce’ssister’sfamily.
TheKenmareRoomisusedforlecturesandhasasmallshowofreproductionsofJoycefamilypictures.Inaddition,thisroomprovidesdetailsofJoyce’slifeandtimes,areadingtablewherevisitorscansitandreadworksbyandaboutJoyce,andashowofsomeofthemanytranslationsofJoyce’sworks.
