摘要
作为20世纪美国最后的草根艺术,20世纪70年代出现的美国嘻哈文化如今已经成为全球性文化。
从欧洲到亚洲,从非洲到美洲,随处可见一群穿着肥硕的裤子,身体随节奏灵活律动,嘴上不停喊话的嘻哈青年。
嘻哈文化作为反抗主流社会的隔离和歧视、表达黑人青年真实生活状态和自我认同的载体,对当代美国黑人青年的成长具有重要意义。
本文通过分析嘻哈文化的产生背景,即黑人受压迫的美国社会,浅析嘻哈文化的价值所在,帮助黑人解放天性,以及嘻哈文化对美国黑人的影响。
嘻哈文化融入在美国黑人的生活之中,这些影响主要表现在行为、语言、心理上,美国黑人开始参与社会事务、创造俚语、自我认同感逐渐增强。

Abstract
TheAmericanhip-hopculturewhichemergedfromthe1970shasnowbecomeaglobalculture.Thereareagroupofhip-hopyouththatwearsfatpantsrockingtheirbodyallovertheworld.Asresistancetodiscriminationandisolationinmainstreamsociety,hip-popcouldshowthereallifeofblackpeople.Wecouldconcludethathip-hopisimportanttoNegroinAmerican.Throughtheanalysisofthebackgroundofhip-hopculture,andtheoppressionofblackpeople.thepaperanalyzesthevalueofhip-hopculture,andtheinfluenceofhip-hopcultureonblackAmericans.Hip-hopculturehasbeengraduallyintegratedintothelivesofblackAmericans.Andtheinfluencesaremainlymanifestedinbehavior,languageandpsychology.BlackAmericansbegantoparticipateinsocialaffairs,createslang,andgraduallystrengthentheirsenseofidentity.

Asanimmigrantcountry,theUnitedStateshascontinuouslyabsorbedthecultureofdifferentnationalitiesinthehistoryofthecountryformorethan200years,andhasbecomeoneofthemostculturallydiversecountriesintheworld,InAmericansociety,asanenslavedrace,blackpeoplewereexcludedfromthemainstreamforalongtime.Therefore,blackculturewasalsolookeddownuponandignoredforages.Evensince20centuries,Americahasrisenup,andreplacedEuropeastheglobalsuperpower.Asofnow,thescandalaboutracialdiscriminationinAmericansocietyisstillendless.InvariousethnicgroupsintheUnitedStates,differentethnicgroupsholddifferentpoliticalandeconomicresourcesandsocialstatus.Althoughethnicminoritieshavehadalmostequalpoliticalstatuswithwhitepeopleinrecentyears,theeconomictreatmentandeducationalresourcesenjoyedbyethnicminoritiesarestillMuchlessthanwhitepeople.
Thehip-hopcultureintheUnitedStatesisnotjustfunkorR&B.Itisaspecialculturalproductofaspecialera.Inthisculture,wecanseebreakdanceandgraffiti.Manypeoplethinkthathip-hopcultureisessentiallyacomplaintofsocialunfairnessandamanifestationoftheirownpersonality.Hip-hopculturereflectsthelackofitsownrealityofpainandanger.Hip-hopcultureisnotanisolatedphenomenon.Itisabottom-upgrassrootsculturalmovement.Wecansayhip-hopcultureprofoundlychangestheblackAmericanlife.
Throughtheanalysisofthebackgroundofhip-hopculture,thepaperanalyzesthevalueofhip-hopculture,andtheinfluenceofhip-hopcultureonblackAmericans.
1.1ResearchBackgroundandSignificance
1.1.1ResearchBackground
Fromthebeginningofthe20thcentury,theNegroculturalmovementflourished.TherearethreeblackculturalmovementsinAmerica.Forinstance,HarlemRenaissancetookplacein1920s.AndBlackArts-movementhappenedin1970s.Whatismore,Hip-hopCultureoccurredin1970s.ThesethreeculturalmovementsreflectedthevitalityofblackcultureandhadagreatinfluenceonAmericanhistory,especiallyhip-popculture.Itusedtobethemusicdancewhichwasperformedbyasmallnumberofblackyouthinthestreet.Andnowitdevelopsintoaglobalculture.Americanyouth,especiallytheblackcommunity,aredeeplyinfluencedbyhip-hopcultureintermsoflanguage,thoughtandbehavior.Theyarecalled“hip-hopgeneration”.
Tobetterunderstandhip-hopculture,manyscholarshaveconductedin-depthresearch.Inthedomesticresearch,WuYan(2011)focusedontheblackrapculture,analyzedtheinfluenceandvalueofrapmusiconAfricanAmericans.Shebelievesthatrapmusichasbecomeatoolforblackpeopletofightagainstinjustice.ChenMin(2012)believesthatblackAmericanyouthisallinfluencedbyhip-hopcultureinlanguage,psychologyandbehavior,andbecomeanewgenerationofAmericanyouthgroupwithuniquelanguage,identityandvalues.Inoverseasstudies,AddisonGaylehasshownthatblackartisdeeplyrootedinAfricanAmericananger.InClay’ssurveyofthesurveyors,hefoundthatintheactivitiesofhip-hopculture,thesurveyorsfeeltherespectandpositiveresponsefromothers,whichareexactlywhattheblackyouthurgentlyneedsinthelong-termsocialdiscrimination.Domesticandforeignresearchhaveemphasizedtheliberatingeffectofhip-hopcultureonthenatureofblackAmericans,makingthemmoreunitedandpositive.
1.1.2Significanceofthehip-popculture
Hip-hopcultureisrootedintheAfrican-Americancommunity.Itisanumbrellatermforstreetculturewithmanyelements,includingdance,music,DJ,rap,graffiti,costumesandsoon.Hip-hopcultureispartofthestreetculture.Anditreflectsthecasualattitudetowardslife.Theyweardistinctiveclothesandbehavestrangely.Eveniftheydonotknoweachothercantheybeidentifiedbytheirappearanceandbehavior.
Hip-hopcultureisakindoflifeattitudederivedfromtheprimitivetribesofAfrica.ItisnotasimplecombinationofDJ,MC,graffiti,streetdanceandothermajorelements.Aftermorethan30yearsofdevelopment,ithasbecomeaworldwideculturalphenomenon,lifestyleandspiritualsymbol.Hip-hopculturerepresentsasenseoflifethatenjoyslife,displaysindividuality,expressesfreely,anddarestochallenge.Everyonelivinginitisconstantlyexploringandmasteringvariouship-hopskills.Inordertoallowmorepeopletohearorseetheirtalents,AfricanAmericanscontinuetobreakthroughthelimitationsoflife,thusmakingthewholehip-hopculturelivelier.
Firstly,theessenceofhip-hopcultureliesinitssubject-matter.Hip-hopcultureisthecultureofthebottompeople,payingattentiontothejoysandsorrowsoftherealexperienceoftheunderlyingblackgroups.Thisisunmatchedbyothercultures.Secondly,itisitsmanifestation.Theexpressivenessofhip-hopcultureisalsocharacterizedbysensibility,straightforwardnessandalong-repressedintensity.Thisisrelatedtothetension,contradictionandfeedbackthatbottompeopleoftenexperienceinthelife.Itisalsounacceptabletothosewhoadmire“TheSpringSnow”.Thirdly,itisitsbeliefthathip-hopculture'spursuitoffairnessandfreedom,theconcernfortruelife,andtherespectsforordinarypeoplearerevolutionary.
Theoriginalmeaningofhip-hopcultureisthatpoorAfricanAmericansusespecialwordsanddeedsandlifestylestoexpresstheirdissatisfactionwithsocialunfairtreatmentandracialdiscrimination.Therefore,thespiritandmostofthehip-hopculturearenotacceptedbythegovernmentandmainstreamsociety.Withtheprogressofsocietyandtheimprovementofthestatusofblackpeople,andinordertopromoteandallowmorepeopletoacceptthehip-hopculture,theAfricanAmericancommunitybegantocreatenewwaystocontinuethesurvivalanddevelopmentofhip-hopculture.Nowadays,hip-hopcultureisnotonlysynonymouswiththeblackpeopleatthebottomoftheUnitedStates,butalsoasymbolofyoungvitalityandpassionatefighting.Accordingtothecurrentdevelopmenttrend,hip-hopculturewillhavegreaterinfluence.

1.2.1Thebackgroundofhip-hopculture
Inthe1970sinNewYork,discomusicprevailed.Theupperclassdresseduptogotothedisco.ThewholeworldthoughtthatNewYorkwasaparadise.
Incontrast,peopleintheBronx,NewYork,livedindirestraits.Thenumberoffiresinasingleyearwasashighas12,300.Thelivingenvironmentwaslikeabesiegedwarzone.IthasalwaysbeenafamoussluminNewYork.Since1960,themainresidentshavebeenblackorHispanic.AlthoughthecivilrightsmovementintheUnitedStateshasbeenverypopularinrecentyears,atpresent,theblackpeopleintheUnitedStatesenjoylesseducationalresourcesandjobopportunitiesthanwhitepeople.IntheUnitedStates,blackpeopleareengagedinavarietyoflow-endjobs,thepoor.Theblacksintheregionarerarelyabletochangetheirowndestinythroughtheirownefforts.Theseareasweretheplaceswherewhitesleftbehindinthepurchaseofnewhomesinthesuburbs.Whiteslivedinbigcities.Blackscouldonlyliveinastagnantarea.Thefuturewasbleak.Blackpeoplelistenedtotheirmusicanddidtheirownthingsinadifficultenvironment.Therewererebelliousvoicesthatcameoutoftheseareasfromtimetotime.Hip-hopmusicwasborninthiscontext.
1.2.2Theoriginofhip-hopculture
TheoriginalpurposeofhiphopwastofindtheidentityoftheAfricanAmericancommunity.Thisisbecauseinthesocialbackgroundofracialdiscriminationagainsttheblackethnicgroupsatthattime,theUSeconomywasinarecession.Theywereplaguedbyproblemssuchaspoverty,hunger,disease,anddrugs.Soatthistime,alotofpoorblackswereidle,boreddancingandsinginginthestreets.Ofcourse,thereweresomepeoplewithmusicanddancetalents.Itwasbecausetheywereinspiredbyfreedomthatdancingandsingingbecameeasy.Theformwasnotlimitedandcreative,sothereweresomedifferentformsofworksthatslowlyemergedunderfreeplay.
Inthemidandlate1970s,theculturewasgraduallycommercializedandpackaged.Andtheentertainmentthatwasoriginallyprevalentinthepoorblacksbecameapopularelementofcommercializationandwasgraduallyacceptedbythepublic.Inthenextdecade,theglobaleconomic
