一.
课程性质、适用专业及层次
大学英语为我院2009级食品与营养工程学院、生物与化学工程学院、机电工程系、计算机应用技术系各专业的必修课程,为公共课。
本教学大纲适用于2009级食品与营养工程学院、生物与化学工程学院、机电工程系、计算机应用技术系各专业的学生。
该课程以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,培养学生的英语综合应用能力,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,以适应我国社会经济发展和国际交流的需要。
二.课程教学目标
1.经过128课时的学习,使学生掌握必需的、实用的英语语言知识和技能,具有一定的听、说、读、写、译的能力,从而能借助词典阅读和翻译有关英语业务资料,在日常的交际活动中进行简单的口头和书面交流,并为今后进一步提高英语的应用能力打下一定的基础。
2.鉴于目前高职学生入学时的英语水平差异较大,本课程要求学生通过一年的学习,基本达到教育部高等教育司颁发的《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》,大部分学生能通过高职高专英语应用能力考试。
3.本课程在加强英语语言基础知识和基本技能训练的同时,重视培养学生时间使用英语进行交际的能力。
通过本课程的学习,学生应达到以下基本要求:
(1)听懂日常会话以及一般难度的英语材料。
(2)能用较简单英语进行日常会话,表达较流畅,无明显的语法错误。
(3)通过学习掌握大量的词汇,从而能阅读中等难度的文章,并能透彻地理解。
(4)能较熟练运用英语写涉外应用文,如电子邮件、求职信、电话留言等;掌握写作方法和技巧,语句较通顺,基本无语法错误。
(5)能借助词典将中等偏下难度的一般题材的文字材料译成汉语。
理解正确,译文达意。
(6)能了解英语国家文化背景和社会风貌。
提高学生文化素养和人文精神,为他们以后的学术深造打下必要的跨文化交际能力基础。
三.先修课程及主要要求
1.完成高中的英语课程,具有基本的英语语法和语音知识,熟悉各种句型和语法结构。
2.一般应具备1500个左右的词汇量。
根据目前高职学生入学时英语水平差异较大这一实际,实行分层次教学。
3.词汇:
认知2500—3400个英语词汇,对1500个左右的单词能正确的拼写、英汉互译。
4.语法:
掌握基本的英语语法规则,在听、说、读、写、译中能正确应用所学语法知识。
5.听力:
能听懂日常涉外业务活动中结构简单、发音准确、语速较慢的英语对话和不太复杂的陈述,理解基本正确。
6.口语:
能用英语进行一般的课堂交际,并能在日常和涉外交际活动中进行简单的交流。
7.阅读:
能阅读中等难度的一般题材的简短英文资料,理解正确。
生词不超过总词数3%,能读懂通用的简短实用文字材料,如信函、产品说明等,理解基本正确。
8.写作:
能运用所学词汇和语法写出简单的短文,能用英语填写表格、套写便函、说明书、广告等,表达基本正确。
