新东方高级口译真题解析
2010秋9.12新东方高级口译考试题目与解析
本次高口听力的话题为ModernCommunication.在考前先利用考试说明和Direction的时间预读文章,按我在课堂讲的考前“四步法”,先迅速搜索文章高频词如“information,communication,technology,phone,等”,从而抓住主题,并可选择2~3个高频词并符号化。
本文所涉及的词汇受话题所限,比较简单,关键是一些长词的缩写,对于长单词,通常写出前3-4个字母,必要的话加上尾缀最后一个字母。
另外在近期的新东方口译考前模考讲评及冲刺串讲中,我将考试历年听写题的最常用的四种缩写法,和历年出现的高频词为大家作了总结,例如“比较级”用“+2”表示。
这次考试它们的再次出现是一种必然。
答题时,应先将速记及符号直接写在试题的空格中,再誊抄到答题纸上,以免顾此失彼,分散精力。
我们不推荐在听写题的剩余时间来预读长对话题目的选项部分,建议将答案仔细检查,检查的时候,一定要注意以下几点:
1.拼写错误
2.同音词
3.形近词
对于一些语法小词缀,不必太过浪费时间纠结。
参加明年考试的同学,针对这一部分考试,应在考前加强英文单词的速记练习,并将历年听写考试出现的高频词的缩写滚瓜烂熟,在考场做到耳到手到,闪解每空。
这一部分能力的提高,对后面的NoteTakingandGapFilling题目和ListeningandTranslation的笔记很有帮助。

对话主题是小镇新规划。
首先,预读选项时我们可以挖掘town\porch\building等高频词,来预测主题。
第一题:
对话中两人第一回合的开头都提到newtown,…newtownisdesigned.所以答案为A
第二题:
为细节题,考试技巧为多听多选。
最后唯一未选出的即正确答案,为C。
第三题:
正确选项为B.答案在路标词“But”后,Butthatreallyhasbeenoneofthefailuresthatweobservejoininguptotwoyearsinthisnewtown.Andthepeopledon’tspendverymuchtimeatallontheirfrontporches.
第四题:
为细节题,文中提到规定停车位置和时长,但并没有提到不许停在家门口。
正确答案为D.
第五题:
答案为最后一句,选项为A.Somerulesseemtogoalittletoofar.
第6题,选C,“新闻动词”考察题。
本题对考生的要求就是,必须听懂关键词“slash”,“削减。
”这个词在我们在课堂讲“裁员话题”时曾强调,“slashjobs/posts;”属于必备级的。
虽然后文碰到loanportfolios“贷款组合”这样专业的金融术语,但是loan还是可以听懂的,这样就可以找到对应词lending。
本题为新闻题型中典型的“首句原则”考生只需认真听新闻首句即可选对。
此项技巧为新闻题基本技巧之一。
第7题,本题选项有一定难度,干扰性很强。
答案为D。
A选项中的“givewarning”虽然首句中提及,但是对象搞错,发出警告的是部分欧洲部长和农民,“warningsfromministersandfarmers”不是欧盟峰会;B选项有很强的干扰性,“alleyfears”意思是“平息,缓解担忧或者恐惧”,虽然“alley”对应文章首句中的“Ease”一词,但是“takemeasures…toalleyfearsofunfaircompetition”显然有悖与文章内容,原文说的是“欧盟加强和拉美国家的贸易合作”,所以是错误选项。
C选项中的DohaRound多哈会谈虽然提及,但也是文章尾句,仅作为“反面案例”突出本次峰会的成果,所以与马德里峰会的议程无关。
纯属“迷惑大众”。
D选项中的increasetrade符合原文内容,即“EUplanstoboosttradewithLA…”
第8题,选B。
但凡在新闻题中考到“灾难、事故”,必考“伤亡人数”。
这次考试也不例外。
牢牢抓住“死亡人数”这个关键点,数字题必定如探囊取物一般简单。
这道题考查在利比亚的Tripoli的空难,新闻首句,听说道”theplanecrashthatkilled103people.”所以很轻松,这是我在课堂上反复和大家讲过的考点。
是一道“送分题”。
第9题,选B。
改题为数字题,考查各个数字的对应细节。
所以必须把握数字的特点,即数字的单位和对象。
改题考察TargetCorp公司最新的季度利润,其第一季度利润达到6亿7千1百万。
之后的5亿2千2百万是去年的水平。
考生不用被fiscalfirstquarter中的Fiscal影响,这是财务上的说法。
第10题,选C。
该题也是“首句原则”的使用。
问题问的是德国最新的金融的措施recentfinancialmeasure。
内容就在aimedat一词之后,limitingspeculation,虽然可能考生不知道是“限制投机”的意思,但是作对选项没有任何难度。
强干扰项smackofdepression,“打击,抗击萧条”是采取这些金融措施之后的效果,而不是德国针对性的采取措施。
本考题也是后金融危机,全球紧急复苏背景下的一道新闻题,再次反映了金融这一当前第一热门话题在高口考试中的关注度。
总结,2010年3月的高级口译新闻题完全符合新东方口译研究中心中所一直强调的新问题的“4+1”原则,即四易一难。
四题的难度都比较适中,2题为数字题,2题为“首句原则”题。
1题为强干扰性辨析题。
只要考生在考前对“新闻词汇”进行了强记,把我们课堂中给各位整理的新闻词复习好,然后调动我们课堂上讲授的“排除分析法”和本着“首句原则”来解题,完全可以在这部分拿到满分。
